"... Arnesen believes it was vapors from the oil and the dispersants from the BP Gulf oil disaster that made her husband and the other shrimpers sick. She says they were downwind of it, and the smell was "so strong they could almost taste it."

If the gulf water is a lot hotter than ususal then this does add energy to the huricanes and this does increase the likelyhood of spreading the oil and toxic disperants wider. For now it is worrying enought people are affected by the fumes and nobody seems to want to evacuate them yet..

One can not ignore the plight of the shrimp fishermen affected by the Britisch Petroleum oil spill. The ecosystem that supports their lives has been devestated for many years to come and their own health is directly threatend by the effects of benzene in the air and food chain, a toxic and carcinogenic substance. This is where this site is honouring Diane Wilson for standing up as Tony Hayward (BP CEO) was ready to stonewall an investigative panel. One can only assume many of the 1400 offshore rigs are build with minimal safety standards to make them as economical as possible, posing a ticking timebomb in terms of our dependency and potential damage. If all oil spilled from these wells one could kill all life in our oceans. Whtere you burn it os spill it, oil will devastate our ecosystem.

As Obama said, for many years the dangers and finite nature of fossil fuels have been glaringly clear, yet it is the nature of oil, that it is money that allowed the industry to pay its way in an ever more corrupt political environment.

It should be clear that the financial markets and the climate problem are intimately connected. It was the corporations and oil companies, the backbone of the stock market, that lobbied and allowed themselves to profit from the depletion of our planets resources.

Now that they smell the end of their reign they have replaced our armies in their quest to further the ruin of every nation except the US. One of their weapons is the 'naked short', offering for sale something you don't have, thus driving the price down, at which point you can buy the shares you sorted and make a profit. It is one of the common frauds allowed outside the US and Germany. Elaine has a song about it..



Ben Bernanke has been expanding the money supply starkly since 2008. Most of this money has been absorbed by the off balance sheet debt hole of a bout 1.4 thousand trillion dollars or 12-14 times the world GDP in CDO's and and credit default swaps outstanding in the shadow banking system. If the increasing opacity and volatility caused by the lack of control or transparency causes a collapse the likely result will be Zimbabwe style hyperinflation.

So why is Elaine a Climate Babe? Becuase she sees that even financial activity needs to be sustainable. It needs to serve the real economy. Cheap credit made bankers rich, it also led to overconsumption, destruction of the rainforests, emissions of copious amounts of carbon dioxide and other toxins, depletion of every natural or mineral resouce and expansion of the human race with devestating effects. Without it this would not have occurred. Climate change would be less severe and in a more stabile environment a solution would be easier to achieve.

What do babes do to green products? Will climate action actually look more appealing and urgent when it is juxtaposed by hot babes? How hot do they need to be? Important questions in need of resolution.

Are american babes better as climate babes then dutch babes? How about asian babes? Do they need to be in bikini to be hot, or is the mere sight of full breast squeezed tight by a small t-shirt enough to get the blood boiling for climate action?

It may seem there has been a scientific battle over climate change, most recently with the accusations of skewing data by the University of East Anglia.. Fact is that the phenomenon of climate change has been known since the '50. This beggs the question whether we have been lied to by a selfish elite or a selfish generation, and whether the industries have been anticipating the problems we face today. Listen to the audio and judge for yourself: Was there ample reason to consider protecting future generations?

Iceland has been the first victim of the destructive bankers, now it is clear the whole Eurozone is under assault. What has that to do with climate change or babes? It is the banks that caused rampant overconsumption and depletion of natural resouces around the world. Without their credit, the US would have consumed less, destroyed less. Bankers need to be prosecuted and all banks returned under the soveriegn control of democratic governments. Iceland now has the mentality and capacity to do so. Iceland is also rich in clean energy sources. We are all for it. Let others follow.

India is experiencing 100 year record breaking temperatures. Temperatures of 50 degrees force people to use the subway and even at the mountain stations it is 8 degrees hotter than ususal. Animals are dying because the ponds dry up early and farmers worry because other factors already increase the price of corps, and the monsoon is responsible for 60% of all irrigation.  

Indians say they hope to reincarnate in a better environment, but of course the only solution to the increasing temperatures is reducing carbon emissions and mitigating the effects of drought though solar desalination and irrigation. India has plenty of resouces for that, but they need to get rid of destructive industrial corruption and foreign influences.
